OVERVIEW.
In MegaMan Battle Network 2 (MMBN), players control Lan, a young boy, alongside his NetNavi MegaMan as they navigate a digital world filled with enemies and challenges. The core gameplay revolves around controlling MegaMan in real-time battles, using a combination of strategy and skill to defeat a variety of enemies.
In the demo I’ve developed, MegaMan starts in his raw, unenhanced form, equipped with only a buster cannon and a basic charge ability. This allows players to charge the buster cannon for increased damage output, making for an engaging combat experience. While simple, this setup introduces the core mechanics of the game, where precise timing and strategic positioning are key to overcoming tougher foes.
This demo serves as a foundation for exploring more complex battle mechanics, with plans to expand the gameplay and provide more abilities and upgrades for MegaMan as players progress. It’s an exciting project that lets me tap into my love for strategic battle systems and my admiration for the MegaMan Battle Network series.
