Casual Multiplayer FPS Arena

OVERVIEW.

Concept: In Tile Dynasty FPS Arena, players take on the role of a renegade with incredible speed and endurance, demolishing enemies with skill and precision. The game offers both cooperative play, where players team up against AI enemies, and competitive modes, where they go head-to-head while completing unique objectives in each game mode.

Gameplay Mechanics
The inspiration for this project came from years of playing Quake Live, a game that left a lasting impression on me with its fast-paced multiplayer experience. I was fascinated by how it simulated incredibly fast-moving objects that could stop on a dime, all while maintaining smooth and responsive gameplay. This sparked my curiosity about how multiplayer games are built, particularly in the areas of optimization and networking.

I began development of Tile Dynasty FPS Arena as a solo developer, aiming to create a game that captured the essence of that thrilling experience. The game features strafe-jump physics, explosive projectiles that exert force upon impact, two distinct game modes, and a couple of handcrafted maps. Developing this project as my first online FPS game was both challenging and rewarding, providing me with invaluable lessons about multiplayer game design and optimization.

While Tile Dynasty FPS Arena represents the early stages of my journey as a game developer, it has shaped the way I approach multiplayer projects and fueled my passion for creating fast, immersive gameplay experiences.
